Comets Win Pacific Coast League Championship

The Oklahoma City Comets claimed the 2026 Pacific Coast League Championship with a 5-2 win in a decisive Game 3 against the Las Vegas Aviators Thursday night at Las Vegas Ballpark. Oklahoma City collected the first run of the game on a RBI double from Ryan Fitzgerald in the second inning. The Comets put up two more runs in the third inning with a run-scoring single from Mike Sirota followed by an Alek Thomas sacrifice fly. The Golden State Valkyries finished the 2026 regular season by completing the largest comeback in franchise history, defeating the Los Angeles Sparks 76-75 on Thursday night at Crypto.com Arena. With the win, the Valkyries secured the No. 2 seed in the WNBA playoffs and will host the Dallas Wings in the first round.
